What workshops are available?

1. Rescuing the Moon (KS1)
2. Musical Games (KS1,2 & 3)
3. Action Songs (KS1 & 2)
4. Chants, Call and Response (KS1,2 & 3)
5. World Music (KS1, 2 & 3)
6. 4 part harmony (KS3)
7. Gospel (KS3)

How many participants?
Maximum:       30 pupils (or one class).
Example of a singing workshop:
· Rescuing the Moon (KS1)
· Simple vocal/physical warm-up, stretching, yawning, hissing to wake up the diaphragm.
· Set scene of our task; the moon has fallen into the river, we have been chosen by our tribe to rescue it.
· Magic fish basket; children improvise whispering in opposing rhythms.
· Start with work song and dance: "Pick a Bale of Cotton".
· Next, row up river, sing Polynesian call and response: "Chim ne ba bay".
· Watch eagle, sing chant "On my long wind feathers". Learn dance.
· Find moon, celebrate by singing chant, "Nisa".
